Postcard Exhibition “Art.che.type: Merekam Nalar” is young artists exhibition in celebrating critical attitude towards human rights. This exhibition promoted human rights values through art and culture as a medium. The postcard exhibition was held on 29 September – 7 October 2016 at Gedung Indonesia Menggugat, Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan no. 5, Bandung. All of the artworks were sent to the Presidential Palace as a symbol and a statement of the people who involved in the exhibition. Designer responded the human rights issue in typography, color, and composition that expressed rhetorical question.
The artwork title was “We All Deserve To Be Treated Right (?)”, it came from the inequality in religion freedom in this country. The designer tried to illustrate the conflicts that happened in Indonesia it reflects Indonesian psychological condition that doesn’t comprehend the concept of harmony and mutual respect. The postcard design is divided into nine pieces, to understand the message you must put the whole pieces together.
