Brand Identity Design

The development of the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago opens up opportunities for the country’s graphic designers to be involved in designing its visual identity. Through an open call invitation from the Indonesian Graphic Design Association (ADGI), as many as 500 designers participated. Five passed the selection stage and were finally selected directly by President Joko Widodo. Being one of those who passed the selection, I am sure that this opportunity can be a way for us to participate in marking the times and criticizing the nation’s current state through design. This identity, which is observed, felt, and chosen directly by all levels of Indonesian society, has taken us on a journey towards researching and reinterpreting the values ​​of the archipelago. These roots underlie the nation’s ideals of achieving independence and prosperity.
